Three Kootenai Races Uncontested In Primary

Thu., May 21, 1998

Three of Kootenai County’s elected officials whose positions are uncontested in the May 26 primary election will face challengers in the Nov. 10 general election.

Incumbent county Commissioner Richard Panabaker, a Republican, will face challenger Mike Stine, an independent. Democratic Assessor Marv Vandenberg will face Republican Ray Lee. Clerk Dan English, a Democrat, will face Republican challenger Anita Banta.

Treasurer Jeannine Ashcraft, a Republican, will run uncontested, as will Republican Coroner Robert West.
