West Valley Warned About Suspicious Car

Police and school officials are warning students to be cautious of a suspicious maroon four-door Honda Civic driving around the West Valley area.

Three men in a reddish Honda threatened to beat up a Centennial Middle School student as he walked home from the school last Thursday evening. Occupants of a similar car bothered two female students - one from West Valley High School and one from Ness Elementary School - earlier this month.

The high school student told school officials that a man in the car made sexual comments to her as she walked home from school. The elementary school student said the car followed her for several blocks, but never made verbal contact.

None of the students was hurt, said West Valley spokesman Joe Dawson. School officials posted fliers at the schools, warning students and parents about the suspicious car.
