Motorists Receive Wrong Information
A computer glitch has resulted in some Spokane County motorists receiving incorrect information in their license-plate renewal notifications, officials said.
Spokane County drivers scheduled to renew their tags in July were accidentally sent payment envelopes listing a Clark County address, said Ellen Marsh, an auto license regional manager in Spokane.
But Spokane County drivers should send their tag renewal payments to, you guessed it, Spokane County, she said.
The correct address is Spokane County Auditor, Auto License Division, 1116 W. Broadway, Spokane, Wash., 99260.
The problem originated in a state Department of Licensing computer in Olympia and affected drivers throughout the state, Marsh said.
