Dam’S Laser Show Adds New Element
Laser beams will shoot from the top of Grand Coulee Dam to the surrounding hills on Sunday night as an extra element in this year’s Laser Light Festival.
The annual Memorial Day festival begins the summer season of nightly laser light shows, which ends Sept. 30.
Powerful green aerial laser beams in a grid pattern will shoot out throughout the half-hour show which starts at 10 p.m.
“It’s a great way to kick off the summer with a new added effect,” said Ted Milburn, vice president of Laser Fantasy International of Redmond, which designed the show.
The extra aerial effects will occur only this one Sunday, Milburn said.
The show is starting its 10th season. It tells the story of the Columbia River, dam construction and benefits of the dam.
