From Staff

A man robbed a north Spokane convenience store early Tuesday after threatening to kill a clerk, police said.

At 12:45 a.m., the man walked into the 7-Eleven store at 1006 W. Garland and bought a pack of cigarettes.

While waiting for his change, the robber grabbed a paper bag and placed his other hand into his sweat shirt pocket, police said. He told the clerk he had a gun.

The man took some cash and fled on foot.

The thief is described as a white man in his 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavyset with blond hair.
