Nethercutt Bunks Down At Fairchild
Rep. George Nethercutt spent Thursday night at Fairchild Air Force Base in one of the base’s new dormitories.
The Spokane congressman was instrumental in getting funding for the $16 million dormitory complex. It houses enlisted men and women and replaced older dorms dating from the Korean War.
The dormitories provide greater privacy to unmarried enlisted personnel by giving them their own rooms with a shared bathroom between rooms.
The new dormitories are part of an Air Force effort to improve the quality of life and retention of its first-term enlisted members.
