Armed Man Holds Up North Side Restaurant

From Staff

A man with a handgun robbed a north Spokane restaurant early Friday, police said.

The suspect paced around the parking lot for 15 minutes before entering Shari’s Restaurant, 1829 N. Monroe. When a clerk approached him by the cash register, the man showed a handgun and demanded money.

He ran from the building and was last seen going east through an alley, then heading north.

The robber was described as a white male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He had blue eyes, lightcolored hair and was clean shaven. The man was wearing a stocking cap and a blue-hooded rain slicker.
