Davenport Will Play For Third As State B Baseball Winds Up

Davenport’s hopes for a State B baseball championship came to a screeching halt Friday.

LaConner romped to a 12-0 win, handing Gorillas starter Casey Parsons (8-1) his first loss of the season.

In the other semifinal game, six-time defending state champion DeSales pounded Orcas Island 16-0.

Davenport (22-3) will send Mark Hall to the mound today against Orcas Island to decide third and fourth place.

DeSales (19-5) will take on LaConner for the title.

Jessie Morrison’s single was the lone hit for the Gorillas.
