Shea Strikes Deal With Eric Brown

From Staff Reports

Shea Construction Inc. has announced a merger with Eric Brown Construction, effective Sunday.

As part of the deal, Spokane-based Shea Construction Inc., one of the largest full-service building contractors in the Inland Northwest, with annual volume of $55 million, made Eric Brown an equity partner and executive vice president in the company in exchange for his company’s assets.

Brown, a former employee of Shea Construction who began his own company in 1988, brings five full-time employees into the company.

Dick Lopes, executive vice president of Shea Construction, said the move was made mutually to position the company for growth, and for leadership when president David Shea, 57, decides to retire.

Shea Construction specializes in public and large private contracts within a 300 to 400 mile radius of Spokane, Lopes said.
