Cbot Sets Record On Contract Volume
The Chicago Board of Trade said the number of contracts changing hands on the world’s largest futures exchange reached an annual record after just 10 months.
Members of the CBOT, who buy and sell U.S. Treasury futures and agricultural commodities such as corn and soybeans, traded 242.9 million contracts through Oct. 30. That’s more than the record 242.7 million contracts traded in 1997.
