Bondsmen Shot At While Seeking Man

From Staff

Two bail bondsmen were shot at Monday while attempting to serve warrants at a home near Mount Spokane, sheriff’s deputies said.

The Signature Bail employees were not injured. No one has been jailed for the shooting.

The men were inside a home in the 14000 block of North Mt. Spokane-Park Drive on Monday afternoon looking for 38-year-old Thomas C. Collum.

He has three outstanding warrants for traffic, theft and possession of stolen property.

When the bondsmen approached a bedroom, a shot was fired through the closed door. The men immediately left the home, deputies said.

Detectives searched the home about 11:45 p.m. and seized several guns.

An investigation into the incident continues, along with the search for Collum.
