Electrical Problem Forces Jet To Land At Spokane Airport
A Northwest Airlines DC-10 jetliner with 297 people on board made an emergency landing Tuesday at Spokane International Airport, airport spokesman Todd Woodard said.
The plane, en route from Seattle to Minneapolis, landed without incident in Spokane at 12:57 p.m. after crew members reported an electrical problem in the galley, Woodard said.
The 283 passengers and 14 crew members got off the plane and waited at least seven hours for a part to be flown from Seattle, Woodard said.
The plane was expected to leave Spokane at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Woodard said.
