Wallace Outlasts Mullan

Wallace served up a 15-5, 8-15, 15-7 non-league volleyball victory over Mullan on Wednesday.

Renee Sleezer and Billie Albinola combined to serve 28 of 29, with four aces, for the Miners (7-7).

Lyndsay Carrico and Michelle Hughes combined for 12 kills for Wallace. The Tigers are 2-7.

Washington girls soccer

Renee Umbdenstock scored in the final two minutes as G-Prep (5-2, 1-1) edged visiting LC 2-1.

Kayla Constable of the Tigers (4-3, 1-1) scored first, hitting the left corner from 25 yards. Laura Oliva tied the match by trapping a pass, turning to the side and hitting the back of the net from 15 yards.
