Spotlight: Nature

Jack Nisbet, an award-winning author and student of natural history, will give an illustrated presentation titled “Threads of History, Threads of Hope” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Cheney Cowles Museum, 2316 W. First Ave.

Nisbet will trace the look of the landscape the last two centuries and include a discussion aimed at its future during the annual meeting of the Inland Northwest Land Trust. It is free and open to the public. Audience participation will be encouraged.

Nisbet wrote “Sources of the River: Tracking David Thompson across Western North America” and “Purple Flat Top: Pursuit of a Place.”

Inland Northwest Land Trust is a non-profit group that works with area landowners to preserve natural areas and open space.
