Dancer Performing ‘Kanya’ At Scc

Spokane Community College will hold a free presentation of “Kanya,” a live, multi-media performance by dancer Jothi Raghavan, Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the student auditorium, 1810 N. Greene St.

“Kanya,” which means woman, is a tribute to the brave women who have struggled with their changing roles in Indian society. The performance will feature storytelling through traditional South Indian dance, music and poetry.

A shortened version of the show will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. For more information, call 533-7090.
