Workshop Explains Planning Process

Learn more about how the city of Spokane’s new comprehensive plan is being developed during a workshop Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Washington Water Power Co. auditorium at 1411 E. Mission.

Citizen input is required throughout the process to make sure it reflects the goals of the community for the next 20 years.

The workshop is especially valuable for Neighborhood Council members, steering committees and other groups, said Al French, who is helping organize the event.

The workshop is hosted by the Office of Neighborhood Services. Among the speakers are Charlie Dotson, city planning director, and Dwight Hume, a land-use consultant.
