Resume: Age 39. Transferred to Spokane in 1986 by Air Force, after joining in 1982. Hired by Seafirst in 1988 as banking officer. Left in January, 1996 to help wife run Hansen’s Creamery; it closed in 1997. Elected to Legislature in 1996. Vice chairman, Criminal Justice, member, Appropriations and Financial Institution & Insurance committees. Volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Trinity Baptist Church; counseled families to help avoid bankruptcy; teaches Sunday school. Member, Rotary Club, Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce. Married, three children.

Education: Associate degree, Grossmont College in San Diego; bacher of arts in business, Sacramento State University; master’s in business administration, Gonzaga University.

Finances: $41,956 as of Oct. 13 with $10,900 on hand. Recently gave the state Republican party $5,000 to donate to other races.
