Valley drivers should watch for road construction next week in these areas:

Interstate 90 at the Sprague Avenue interchange

Construction continues on I-90, where workers are reconfiguring the Sprague Avenue interchange. I-90 has been narrowed to two lanes in each direction from east of Sprague Avenue to the Havana Street exit.

Sprague Avenue eastbound on-ramp is closed permanently. So is the westbound Havana off-ramp. The eastbound Havana on-ramp is closed for the duration of project, but will reopen in February 2000.

Expect delays and at times expect Sprague Avenue to be narrowed to one-lane each direction near the interchange.

Sprague Avenue from Sullivan Road to Tschirley Road

The summer road widening and sewer project continues. Expect delays and one lane of traffic each way.

Spring Valley Road project

The road will be closed from Highway 27 to Old Latah Creek Bridge. Expect detour and delays.

Mirabeau Parkway project

Work continues at Euclid Avenue, east of Pines. Open to local traffic only.

Wellesley Avenue from Campbell Road to MacKenzie Road

Crews will be putting in sidewalks. Expect delays and one-lane of traffic during the day.

Sullivan Road from Spokane Industrial Park to Wellesley

Sidewalks are going in on Sullivan from the industrial park entrance to Wellesley. Expect delays.

Morrow Park and 46th Avenue

Under construction from Highway 27 to the east end of the roads. Expect delays and one lane of traffic during the day.

Main Avenue from Conklin to Carnine

Road closed. Detour in place.

Applevalley sewer project These roads will be open to local traffic only:

Seventh Avenue from Bowdish to Pierce Road.

Pierce Road from 11th to 16th Avenue.

12th Avenue from Pierce to Bowdish Road.

Skipworth Drive from 12th to 16th Avenue.

14th Avenue from Skipworth Drive to Woodward Road.

16th Avenue from Bowdish Road to University Road.

Woodward Road from 14th Avenue to 16th Avenue.

15th Avenue from University to Glenn Road.

Wolfland sewer project These roads will be open to local traffic only:

Nora Avenue from Vista to Sargent Road.

Sipple, Bessie, Sargent and Laura roads from Nora to Knox Avenue.

Vista Road from Nora to Baldwin Avenue.

Michielli Place from Sargent to Marguerite Road.

Marguerite Road from Knox to Michielli Place.

Shannon Avenue from Sargent to Dale.

Dale from Shannon to Knox.

Mirabeau sewer project These roads will be open to local traffic only:

Pines road will be reduced to two-lanes from Grace to Marietta Avenue.

Bowdish Road from Buckeye to Fairview Avenue.

Fairview Avenue from Bowdish to Wilbur Road.

Grace Avenue from Bowdish to Pines Road.

Buckeye Avenue from Bowdish to Pines Road.

Wilbur Road from Fairview to Buckeye Avenue.

Marietta Road west of Pines Road, Gary-Lauri Court, Gary-Lauri Road, Perrine, Robie, Whipple Courts.
