Two Shots Fired Into Couple’S Car
A man and woman from Colville escaped serious injury Saturday night after shots were fired into their car on Division Street.
The shots came from the passenger side of a black Honda.
The Honda had repeatedly spun its wheels as it accelerated from traffic lights, the man told police.
The victim said he neither made eye contact nor any sort of gesture to the Honda occupants.
After the light at Sharp Avenue, a passenger in the Honda leaned out and fired two shots at the victim’s car. One bullet hit the passenger side door panel and broke the side window. A splinter from the slug hit a female passenger in the thigh, causing a minor puncture wound, police said.
The second bullet punctured the right front tire.
The suspect car was described as a shiny black Honda Prelude with a sunroof, yellow fog lights, gold wheel rims and a large fin on the rear. It had tinted windows and a personalized license plate.
