Crack Bust Sends Three Men To Jail
Three men with gang connections were jailed Tuesday after police found 24 pieces of crack cocaine in a Hillyard apartment, officers said.
Spokane residents Duane Parks and Tarrell Johnson, both 23, and Ahmad Brown, 23, of Compton, Calif., were booked into the Spokane County Jail. Each was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The bust happened about 2:45 p.m. in an apartment at 1602 E. Nebraska, police said.
An officer attempted to make a traffic stop near the intersection of Helena and Nebraska, and two men ran from the car, officers said.
The officer pursued the men to the apartment, forced entry and discovered the crack, police said. The men, as well as another man in the apartment at the time of the bust, were jailed.
