Bird Seasons Open Separately

From Staff Reports

This will be the first year in which hunting seasons for deer, waterfowl and upland birds open on separate dates in Washington.

Forest grouse season opened Sept. 1. The state’s partridge season opens Oct. 1, followed by the duck season on Oct. 3 and goose and upland bird seasons on Oct. 10.

The modern firearms deer seasons in much of Eastern Washington open Oct. 17.

The varied openings enable hunters to take part in opening days.
