Cops West Backing Cannon Park March
West Central neighborhood residents will gather on Saturday for a community march at Cannon Park for the children of the neighborhood.
The event will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. The park sits between the 1700 to 2000 blocks of West Maxwell.

Housing market meeting
Spokane’s Community Development Board is inviting residents of the Nevada-Lidgerwood neighborhood to a meeting regarding the current condition of the housing market in the Spokane area.
The meeting will be held at the NevaWood COP Shop at 4703 N. Addison, the corner of Addison and Wellesley, at 6 tonight.
Other topics will include:
Participating in the updating of the city’s Consolidated Community Development and Housing Plan.
Discussion of the proper role of the public sector in housing (What is it?).
Discuss barriers to affordable housing (What are they and what should be done about it?).
Draft suggested needs and priorities for the utilization of financial resources such as the Community Development Block Grant (What should these funds be spent on?).
