Handicapped hunters have until Sept. 25 to apply for special vehicle access permits to otherwise closed roads on the Coeur d’Alene Ranger District.

To apply for the drawing, which will be held Sept. 28, applicants must go in person to the Silverton or Fernan ranger stations and show an Idaho handicapped person’s motor vehicle hunting permit, a valid Idaho disabled hunting license and a big-game tag.

Nonresident hunters must have their signature and a physician’s signature notarized on the application. Info: (208) 769-3000 or (208) 752-1221.
