Helpful Guides For Hunters
Two new publications from the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department are useful to hunters.
“Game Trails,” a 16-page newspaper tabloid, has much of the agency’s information on hunting forecasts, plus information on some wildlife management policies that affect hunters.
The department published 100,000 copies of Game Trails. Only 10,000 copies are available in 10 easternmost counties of the state, and only 25,000 copies in all of Eastern Washington.
Copies are found at major license dealers and department offices.
A folded, 34-by-22-inch, color map of game management units is available through department offices and some license dealers. The map is more durable and includes more detail than the small maps included in regulations pamphlets.
The maps also may be purchased for $3 by submitting an order form (found on page 62 of the hunting pamphlet) with payment to the department’s Olympia headquarters.
