Kaiser Negotiators Won’T Be Taking Spring Break
While area schoolchildren and teachers savor spring break, it’s back to work this week for negotiators representing Kaiser Aluminum and the United Steelworkers. The two sides in the 6-month-old labor dispute are scheduled to meet in Denver today for the first negotiations since January.
The outcome of the talks will affect about 3,000 hourly workers at Kaiser’s Mead and Trentwood plants and plants in Tacoma, Newark, Ohio, and Gramercy, La.
