NEW FACES:
Martin White has joined MSC incorporated as Premera Blue Cross as vice president of sales and marketing. He is responsible for attracting and retaining membership, establishing and maintaining relations within the brokerage community and directing the sales and marketing department. White previously was vice president of sales at Premera Blue Cross’ affiliate company in Oregon.
Moss Adams LLP has added the following people to its Spokane staff:
Mary Neyman was hired as a consultant in the Retirement Benefits Consulting Department. Neyman, who earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno, previously was a pension training associate with the Principal Financial Group. Her duties include retirement plan administration.
Dan Huston joined Moss Adams as a staff accountant in the Financial Institutions Services Group. A certified public accountant, he previously worked for U.S. Bank. Huston received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University and completed accounting course work at Gonzaga University.
Jeff Hennig has joined Farm Credit Services as an internal auditor. His responsibilities include auditing financial and credit related areas at both headquarters and branch locations. Hennig previously was a regional accountant for Louisiana Pacific Corp. in Hayden, Idaho. He received bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Idaho and is a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor.
Output Technology Corp. has named Tamara Degitz marketing manager. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing programs that support the company’s corporate, sales and marketing objectives. Degitz has more than 15 years of marketing communications and management experience, including a stint directing marketing communications for Timberline Software Corp. in Beaverton, Ore. She recently earned a master’s degree in international management.
Jeoff Burger has joined the Spokane-Manito office of Windermere Real Estate as a sales associate. Burger previously worked for nine years as an interior design consultant, most recently at Dania International in Spokane.
Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. has named Geoffrey A. Burns as vice president and chief financial officer. Burns, who has 20 years of financial and mining experience, previously worked for Prime Resources Group Inc. and Homestake Canada Inc., where he was chief financial officer and controller. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from McMasters University in Hamilton, Ontario, and an MBA from York University in Toronto, Ontario.

Renee Keith, of Inland Northwest Distributing, has been named Credit Executive of the Year by the Credit and Financial Development Division of the National Association of Credit Management. Glacier Mountain Floral Suppliers was named Business of the Year.
The following eight members of the Construction Service Group at Moss Adams have passed the CIT exam and earned construction industry technician certification: Chris Schnug, Dan Demchuk, Jeri Self-Merritt, Adam Munson, Joe Gamon, Doug Ashbaugh, Mike Combo and Carolyn Lineback. Candidates must complete a certified construction associate program developed by the National Association of Women in Construction in order to take the exam. Only 30 people in the state of Washington have received CIT certification.
Western Asphalt & Emulsion Inc. of Spokane has been elected to membership in the National Asphalt Pavement Association, the national trade association for the hot mix asphalt industry. David Lynch, vice president, has been designated company representative to the 1,000-member association.
Sharon Latimer has received the Service Leader Award from Regence BlueShield of Idaho in recognition of her service and retention of group business. Latimer, who has been with Lewiston-based Regence BlueShield for 21 years, is responsible for acquiring new group business and servicing existing accounts. The insurer’s Coeur d’Alene office earned the District Office of the Year award, which is based on the performance of the general agent, sales executive and account executive.
The Spokane Building Owners and Managers Association has named Toni L. Habets as its 1998 Member of the Year. Habets, who is a member of BOMA’s board of directors, works for Sound Elevator Co. The award is based on the recipient’s dedication, commitment, accomplishments and personal contributions of time and expertise to the organization.
Susan Bolles, manager of the Spokane H&R Block, has been honored for achieving the highest increase in volume in the company’s Western region.
Northern Lights Inc. has received three awards from the Northwest Public Power Association for its ad campaign and Web page. The utility garnered a first place award for best radio spot, plus two more awards for a print ad and best Web page. Elissa Glassman, communications director for Northern Lights, coordinated and managed production of the ads.
Dan Turbeville, associate professor of geography at Eastern Washington University and coordinator of the Washington Geographic Alliance, has received a $300,000 grant from the National Geographic Society’s Geography Education Division and the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction to continue operations for another three-year period. The alliance, founded in 1993, supports and enhances geography education in the state’s K-12 schools and sponsors a two-week summer geography institute for social studies teachers.
