Wallace On Bristol Pole Again
Rusty Wallace guided his Ford Taurus to a fast lap of 125.142 mph to edge Jeff Gordon for the top starting spot in Sunday’s Food City 500 race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
It was Wallace’s third consecutive pole on the .533-mile, high-banked oval, his fourth in the past five Winston Cup races at Bristol and his sixth overall at the track.
Spokane’s Chad Little failed to qualify and will try again today.
