Alaska Airlines officials said Sunday that its operations were back to normal, with no unusual numbers of employees calling in sick.

The airline was forced to cancel 28 flights on Friday after 175 ticket agents and baggage handlers called in sick that day.

Airline spokesman Jack Evans said the number of sick calls dwindled to about 70 on Saturday, causing some delays but no flight cancellations.
