Hit On Owner Foiled
An alleged hit on the owner of the Utah Grizzlies minor-league hockey team was foiled when the man a Riverton landscaper had hired to arrange the murder went to police.
Mark A. Woodland, 34, tried to hire one of his employees to arrange the murder of Grizzlies owner David Elmore, according to a search warrant.
Woodland claimed Elmore owed him close to $30,000 for landscaping work at his home, said Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Robby Russo.
Woodland offered the employee a total of $10,000 to have Elmore killed, according to the warrant.
