Sports clothing manufacturer Starter Corp., which makes team logo jackets, jerseys and uniforms for major league teams, sought bankruptcy court protection from its creditors Monday.
The company listed assets of $118.1 million and liabilities of $120.5 million.
Starter Corp. was founded in 1971 and became one of the largest manufacturers of team-licensed sportswear, with contracts to pro basketball, baseball, football and hockey and more than 100 universities.
