Taxpayers shouldn’t pay for pool, park

Re: Post Falls swimming pool and Quad Park proposals. My vote will be a no vote. These businesses started out as private; they should survive or fail on their own accord. I have never been in favor of tax dollars being used to buy into or replace a private business. Post Falls taxpayers need to look at neighboring Spokane pool closings and the trouble maintaining enough funding to support them. A lap pool and ball park may be nice for some but certainly should not be paid for by taxpayers, many of whom will never use either facility. John M. Denison Post Falls
