Home On The Range
In the midst of simmering desert in a town yet to be, Ignatius Piazza, 39, envisions a gated community that will offer residents not golf courses, not swimming pools, but an array of 13 shooting ranges. Front Sight, Nev., a 550-acre master-planned community west of Las Vegas, will offer prospective buyers 177 one-acre custom-home lots and 350 townhouses. The development will have its own community center, school and landing strip plus the handy gun ranges. “It’s the Pebble Beach of firearms training,” boasts Piazza, left, as he helps gun instructor Maciej Szczerbiak demonstrate the proper stance for firing a submachine gun.
