Man Charged With Assaulting Officer

Police arrested a Spokane man for assaulting an officer at a concert in Riverfront Park on Friday night.

Travis Brockway Holmberg, 26, refused to cooperate at about 11 p.m. when security guards asked him to leave, according to police.

When an officer tried to move Holmberg to an exit, the man hit him, according to a police report. Even after he was handcuffed, Holmberg continued to kick the officers, the report said.

He was booked into jail for thirddegree assault of an officer, a felony.
