Man Killed In Combine Accident

A 29-year-old man died Thursday when he wrecked his combine in southern Spokane County, sheriff’s deputies said.

John E. Denny of Fairfield was killed about 11:10 a.m. near Darknell and Bradshaw roads.

Denny was driving the combine south on Darknell when he lost control of the machine on a gravel-covered hill, deputies said.

The combine swerved off the road, went over the edge of a ravine and rammed into the ground.

No one else was injured.
