Man Arrested On Theft Charge

A Spokane Valley man was arrested afternoon on suspicion of stealing women’s underwear and photo albums from a Valley home.

A babysitter at a home in the 2700 block of North Park Road told deputies she left the house with a child she was watching Tuesday afternoon. She left the home unlocked and was gone for about 15 minutes, according to deputies’ reports.

When she returned, she saw a man in the back yard. He was carrying three photo albums.

The babysitter confronted the man. He turned over the photo albums and underclothing belonging to the homeowner. The babysitter then called the homeowner, who called police.

Deputies arrived and searched the man. They found more women’s undergarments in his pocket.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Juan R. Cabada, 29, of 2712 N. Park, for residential burglary. He was booked into Spokane County Jail.
