County Offering Lifeguard Program

Spokane County Parks and Recreation is offering a lifeguard certification course next week at Valley Mission Pool.

The fee for the training course, which begins Monday and runs through Friday, is $60, plus the cost of books.

Everyone completing the course will be invited to interview next spring with Spokane County for possible employment as a lifeguard.

Participants can register for the course at the pool, 11123 E. Mission. For more information call 477-4730.
