Light Fixture Starts Fire At Shadle

A small fire broke out at Shadle Park High School on Wednesday.

The blaze began in a girl’s bathroom on the second floor about 11:15 a.m.

Battalion Chief Al Green of the Spokane Fire Department said a light fixture in the bathroom overheated and started burning.

Damage was minimal, and no one was hurt, Green said.
