City Plan Commission

Commissioners plan to review 1999 annual retreat, discuss Spokane Horizons and revisit initial development regulations for the new comprehensive plan.

Design Review Committee

Wednesday, 7 p.m., City Council briefing Center, lower level of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Workshops are planned on the Southside Senior Activity Center and the Grand Coulee sidewalk encroachment.

Spokane County Planning Commission

Thursday, 9 a.m., public works building, 1026 W. Broadway.

The commission will discuss a proposal to allow construction of a commercial center within 200 feet of the Spokane River. Raymond Hanson cannot build his proposed development unless the county changes the designation of his land from “pastoral” to “urban.” In addition, the commission will continue work on the county’s comprehensive land-use plan.
