Some Polls Moved For Today’S Election
Voters should call the Kootenai County elections office before setting out for the polls this morning.
Some polling places are different for today’s election from what they were for the November general election, county officials said.
Voters should call 769-4428.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters will be deciding whether Coeur d’Alene city workers should regain their right to collective bargaining.
Last year, the City Council repealed a 16-year-old ordinance that allowed regular city employees and police officers to bargain over wages and working conditions. The repeal prompted city workers to gather enough signatures to put the issue on the ballot.
The initiative was not certified in time for the November election. Today was the first available election date under Idaho law.
