Central Methodist To Offer Valentine’S Day Dinner
Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, and Central United Methodist Church plans to celebrate the day with a dinner and silent auction Feb. 13.
The items up for bid will be available for viewing beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., with entertainment provided by pianist Garry Gibson.
Auction items include small kitchen appliances, a camera, a spotlight and specialty baskets.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 6-12. Kids under age 6 are free.
Advance reservations are required.

Lourdes presenting concert Sunday
“Songs of Love and Life,” a Music at Lourdes concert, will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, 1115 W. Riverside.
The music will be performed by soprano Annette Kish, tenor Ronald Bacon and organist James Barrett.
The performance will include songs, arias and duets from three centuries of vocal music. Works by Britten, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and Carissimi will be included.
The concert is free, and all are invited to attend.
