Suspect Sought In Woman’S Assault
Sheriff’s deputies were looking for a Spokane Valley man suspected of holding a woman at knifepoint for more than three hours Thursday.
Spokesman Dave Reagan said deputies have probable cause to arrest 25-year-old Cory Ventura on charges of unlawful imprisonment and seconddegree assault.
A woman told investigators Ventura assaulted her and held her against her will at a house in the 2200 block of North Park Road.
At one point, Ventura head-butted the victim then held a knife to her throat, Reagan said. Deputies did not give a motive for the attack.
Ventura was last seen driving a silver two-door Honda Civic with Washington license plate 903-JIO.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
