Colville 3-Pointers Ruin Chewelah
GNL girls
Chewelah was on its way toward a season sweep of Colville on Friday night when it started to rain.
Started to rain 3-pointers, that is, as Lindsey Braff, Kristin Cornwell and Ellen Shaw hit successive 3s to rally Colville to a 50-45 win over the visiting Cougars in a Great Northern League girls basketball game.
Chewelah, which defeated Colville 41-33 four weeks ago, led 44-38 before the Indians’ long-range shots fell. Braff hit two free throws with 14 seconds left to seal the win.
Chewelah’s third-place margin in the league was cut to one game over Pullman and two over Colville.
