UW Breaking Rules
It must seem like old times to University of Washington football boosters.
Last week, the Huskies landed Washington’s top high school football recruit and a bevy of other blue-chippers, just like they used to do in the glory days of coach Don James. In fact, new coach Rick Neuheisel stole some prospects right from under the noses of Colorado, Colorado State, Oregon and rival Washington State - and violated NCAA rules.
James led Washington to a co-national championship in 1991 and six Rose Bowls before rules violations led to his abrupt resignation. Apparently, UW has found the right man in Neuheisel to lead them back to prominence. And NCAA sanctions?
