Ccs Drubs Yakima Valley

Jen Clark scored 16 points and Jayme Morrisette finished with 13 rebounds as the Community Colleges of Spokane came away with an easy 68-36 women’s basketball road win over Yakima Valley on Wednesday night.

The Sasquatch improved to 20-4, 7-2 in the NWAACC, marking the eighth 20-win season in coach Bruce Johnson’s 11 years as head coach.

In Wednesday’s game, CCS was never threatened after jumping out to a 12-4 lead. CCS’s Sara Harchuck and Amy George finished with 12 points each.

YVC dropped to 5-16, 1-9.

The Yakima Valley (25-1, 10-0) men’s team kept its NWAACC record perfect with a convincing win over the Sasquatch at Yakima.

Yakima’s Sennai Atsbeha led all scorers with 25 points. Chris Allen led CCS (9-13, 2-7) with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Rob DeBeaumont finished with a team-high 10 rebounds.
