Air Force Lands Ferris’ Nick Bozo

Nick Bozo, the all-time leading rusher at Ferris and a valedictorian of his class, has accepted an appointment to the Air Force Academy, where he’ll play football.

Ferris coach Clarence Hough said Bozo selected the Air Force Academy over the Naval Academy and Harvard, which also recruited him. He has a 4.0 grade-point average.

As a senior this past season, Bozo was the No. 2 rusher in the Greater Spokane League.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Bozo rushed for a school-record 1,390 yards, third all-time on the single-season list in the GSL. That gave him a school-record 2,485 career yards, which ranks him fifth all-time in the GSL.

The first-team All-GSL selection also handled most of Ferris’ place-kicking and punting duties.
