Police Seek Suspect In Store Robbery

From Staff Reports

A man robbed a North Division convenience store early Tuesday, fleeing on foot with some cash.

Spokane police reported that the man entered the Holiday convenience store, 9720 N. Division, shortly before 2 a.m. with both hands in his jacket. He told the clerk that he had a gun and demanded money, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Officers pursued the man with a police dog before losing the trail. The store’s surveillance cameras failed because the videotape was not rewound, Cottam said.

The robber is described as a 5-foot-5-inch white man in his mid-20s, with a medium build and a light brown mustache.

Police said the man may be the suspect in at least one other recent robbery in the same area.
