Pac-10 Notes

Since moving out of the starting lineup eight games ago, Washington State’s Chris Crosby is connecting on 55 percent of his 3-point shots (16 for 29). He was shooting in the 20s in the previous seven games. His scoring average also has moved from 11.1 ppg to 12.1 ppg. He has led the Cougars in back-to-back games, scoring 15 against Cal and Stanford.

The Cougars remain the only Pac-10 Conference team never to win at Pauley Pavilion.

Stanford has been considered the most physical team in the Pac-10, but Arizona’s A.J. Bramlett believes that title should belong to resurgent Oregon. “Stanford has like two physical players. But all of Oregon’s guys are super physical. They beat you up.” Arizona’s Michael Wright received two stitches courtesy of an elbow from Oregon’s A.D. Smith in the Wildcats’ win.

The USC Board of Trustees has finally given approval for an on-campus facility to be built for the Trojans within the next five years. Administrators are hoping to build a 12,000-seat facility. Now, the only problem is raising the money. But USC president Steve Sample says that goal can be accomplished through the athletic department. USC currently plays in the L.A. Sports Arena.
