Man Linked To Riots Arrested Again
One of the 14 people arrested after last spring’s riot at Washington State University was arrested - for the second time since the riot - Saturday.
Pullman Police arrested Joshua L. Sewell, 22, of Port Orchard, Wash., for violating the conditions of his release after he was seen leaving the scene of a burglary on NE B Street last week.
One of the conditions of his release was that he not associate with Jason R. Williams or Brent Beardslee, both of Colville, Wash., who are also charged with taking part in the all-night May 3 riot that injured nearly two dozen police officers. Beardslee and Williams are co-defendants with Sewell in an upcoming trial.
Police saw Sewell associating with Williams, a news release said.
Sewell was arrested in September for violating another condition of his release. He was found to have been consuming liquor and had left the state. Sewell was released after posting $1,500 bond, with the provision that any further violation would result in the revocation of his release and a forfeiture of the bond.
Sewell was transported to the Whitman County Jail in Colfax.
