Avalanche Claims Two B.C. Slide Experts

From Staff

Two avalanche technicians have been killed in a slide in northwestern British Columbia.

Police said the two men were apparently on the way down a slope they had been testing when the avalanche came down on them.

Their bodies were found Friday after they failed to return to their base Thursday night near the town of Meziadin.

The men are identified as Al Evanchick, 45, and Al Munro, 35.

Both were married with children.
