We’Ll Get You There

Just how do engineers time traffic lights on Spokane streets?

Where can you make a U-turn - legally?

What’s the worst day of the week to try to get a last-minute flight to Seattle?

The Spokesman-Review wants to answer those questions and more.

On Jan. 18, the newspaper will introduce Getting There, a column dedicated to commuting. Whether it’s by foot, bike, bus, train or car, nearly all of us do it. We want to make it a little easier.

Every other Monday, the column will focus on a particular topic, such as riding the bus, entertaining kids in the car or preparing to cross Snoqualmie Pass in bad weather. We’ll answer reader questions and come up with a few of our own. We’ll clue you in to hot spots, such as a ripped-up street you might want to avoid for a few days.

Before we get started, we’d like a little help. Have a transportation question that’s been nagging you? Let us hear it. Got an idea for a column?
